A little visit

Today The kids and I went to Monroe to meet Wayne for a quick visit and meal together. He is gone Monday till Saturday night. So He got paid and needed to put his  check in the bank so we met up and ate a nice meal as a family. It was wonderful. The kids kept us entertained and most of the other patrons too lol. Jacob is a mess rofl. He had me tickled :) I know Wayne was tired after working all day then driving two hours to put a check in the bank only to basically turn around and go back to work tommorrow.  I love him so much.

   After seeing wayne back off and down the road the kids and I headed over to academy sports and picked them out Some saints shirts and caps to wear to school Friday. GEAUX SAINTS lol. Afterwards we went  back to Winnsboro and picked up a few groceries so we wouldn't have to get out tomorrow. Its to cold to get out.
    Tomorrow We will just clean and cook and get ready for wayne to come home. I am cooking him some deer steak and rice n gravy :)  Hope everyone that actually reads my blog has a great weekend.

Class ring

My oldest got his "8th grade" class ring today. He is so tickled about it. But trying to act cool at the same time. I did talk him into letting me snapp a few pictures.

He has been nothing but grins all afternoon. Which you should all know for a 14 year old that is a rarity.

Turning 9

My baby boy will be 9 years old Saturday. Wayne and I never thought we could have natural kids of our own We tried for almost ten years when we got Thomas and Makayla . We were so happy. We never really even worried about having one after that. We threw ourselves into our precious kids we had.
   Well, 6 months later on our 10 year anniversary We went away for a day. I felt so sick. i couldn't eat. My boobies hurt. I just felt wretched and even commented to some one I thought somethingdreadful was wrong with me and I didnt want to worry Wayne. Well, Wayne talked me into taking a pregnancy test. I reluctantly got one while out that evening and brought it back to our room. I decided once we got back to take a shower and just relax in the room. So i took the little bag with the test in it and snuck off to the bathroom. I really wasn't intending to take it till that morning. But there were two in there so i said what the heck. I decided this after i got naked for my bath. So i tinkled on the stick and waited. I never expected it to be positive. I had never had a positive one before. So you can imagine the shock when it turned out positive. For those few minute milliseconds I new something great that WAYNE DID NOT!!!! lol  So I was in shock and all I could say was OMG OMG WAYNE OMG OMG WAYNE!!! He was like wellllll??????? I ran out of the bathroom (BUTT NAKED OF COURSE) and jumped up and down screaming its positive WE are pregnant. OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!!
    Needless to say 9 wonderful months later. God Granted us a gift of a little boy. He weighed 7 pounds and 14 ounces and  we  couldnt behappied with all three of our precious angels.....

LOVE NOTES AND LOVE BOX

A friend of mine was inspired and made wayne and a Love note box.

Here is a  picture of the box. We have put it to good use already.

This will be such a good tool for Wayne and I. I know that sometimes life gets busy and you dont really get to tell the one you love everything that you are feeling :) This is a great way to remind yourself to slow down and let them know. I am sure it will be full before long :) I plan on keeping all the notes to look back through in the harder times when I need to remember exactly how much he means to me:)

Stephanie you just dont know how much you have blessed me and wayne. You will never know what this meant to us.
   For those that dont know Stephanie was the one that set me and wayne up on our blind date many years ago....

WAYNE IS HOME AND MAKAYLA'S TURN

My poor baby girl is sick. Poor angel. She is just miserable. I guess this is just going to make its rounds.:(she has fell asleep (which is probably good) with the bucket by her head.

my sweet sexy husband got to come home a day early. It rained them out. He has his guitar of course which he has implied he missed lol. ITs so good to have my hunny home :)

Poor dude. My Thomas is sick.  He looks so pitiful. He started puking last night about 1130. He puked all night. He is weak right now.

He knows how to make himself comfy though.

ok so

I got a few checks in the mail today. So i decided to be a good momma and go check my kids out of school and go get Jacob some uniform pants. OMG what a nightmare. Jacob is so strangly built that well he must be special cause no pair of uniform pants in the great town I live in fit him @@. WE had to get khaki cargo pants and I dare the school to say any thing . I will gladly let them take him shopping lol. He just laid down on me. He hates trying on clothes. OMG He is lazy. But he gets that honestly rofl. after Finally finding a pair of cargo pants that fit him i got three pair.
Then it was off to the feed stores to find him some Georgia boots. they wouldnt go over his CALF. And he wears a size 7 and those are a rarity to find to apparently. After hitting every store that sold boots in town i gave up and went and got him a pair of tennis shoes that was 44 bucks and will last about a month the way treats them I just figured boots would last longer with him. He need some new shoes.
My kids are so dissapointed and I of course am the meanest mom in the world. Because they are grounded from tv for today and them until they get thier rooms cleaned. Which by the way they are may be forever. Jacob has now said I dont love him because he cant watch tv. lol.
Now jacob doesnt have any home work and so he is cleaning the bathroom for his attitude and behavior in town. He still has an attitude and at the rate he and the other two are going Mommas gonna have a spotless house. lol. Everytime he opens his mouth i just take on another chore. He still hasnt gotten it yet.
AHHHH I GET TO WATCH WHAT I WANT ON TV TONIGHT!!!!

to tight

I tell my kids every afternoon to get their clothes out for school the next day. I usually check them too. Well, last night I forgot to check them. SO this morning was hell here. All of Jacobs pants that fit him have mysteriously dissappeared. He was in tears because he couldnt fit into any pants. HE missed the bus. I finally got off my but and went into his borthers room and pulled out his pants. Come to find out Thomas has been putting the clothes up where ever he wants. He just shoves them. This is Thomas job. A job that today he will learn a hard lesson from. When they get home frm school today. After homework is done and normal chores. They all 3 will be dumping everything out of thier dresser and refolding it and hanging up stiff that is SUPPOSED to be hung up. I am just sick of this mess the call clean of a room. I have had it.

ABSOLUTLY NO TV tonight for them. They will just love this.

Jacob Came home yesterday with papers from his teacehr saying he hada project Due Friday. It is on Grassland Animals. He is in 2ndd grade so I of course helped him and he even inlisted his sisters help in coloring some of the pictures. This is the end result lol.

Wayne is off working during the week so its up to me to make sure things like this are done. He does so much better than me in school projects lol. I miss him.

I was watching american idol tonight and jsut busted a gut laughing at this commercial. I am going to attempt to put it on here lol. I often wonder if we have this much static lol on a cold dayin a warm house lol. pop crackle

a new job

Wayne, my husband left this morning at 4 to go  on a new job. He will be gone till friday and be home on weekends. He was gone worse than this during the summer. It willtake some getting use to it again. I will miss him. I already do.  He had been laid off for 3 months. I am use to having him here every day under foot. Helping with the kids. Running errands for me. Waking the kids up every other morning for school just so I can sleep in. He is a wonderful husband. 

Louisiana Winter

It's not much lol. But when the temp drops below freezing Louisiana justshuts down. Schools close, walmart runs out of food, gas stations run out of gas.

So the kids are off today because of the cold weather. For the next 3 days we are not suppose to get above freezing and thats a rariety here in the deep south. They closed school so kids wouldnt be out in the cold. Guess where my kids are?
They are playing in the ditch full of frozen water and in the drive way in the frozen puddles.

A CHALLENGE

We all want to start the new year off good. People diet, stop smoking, exercise more, and much much more resolutions are made.
Why dont people say hey Im gonna go to church more, read my bible more, play with my kids more? Why I am guilty of this too. I want to do all these things. Why do i put things that are so important on the back burner and things that are stupid and meaning less on the front?

  Wayne and I have been trying and trust me it hasn't been an effort to play a game with the kids each night. WE play the wii with them alot. But we find ourselfs wanting to play something a little more old fashion with them.Hence the picture to the left. Take a gander at this little game. Its called WAHOO. We play this with our kids almost every night.




(btw the date on my pictures are wrong i havent figured out how to set the date on my camera lol.)

Ok so Christmas has come and gone and my parents gave my  kids the best present ever. Take a look at this.

My mom confided in me it almost cost her their marraige and about 90 bucks per checker board. (my dad made 5 lol) rofl. But this is my kids favorite presents. A home made checker board. WE fixing to play a game of it right her in the living room as my hubby watches the bama texas game (GO BAMA) ROLL TIDE or what ever they say. My hubby is a bama boy lol.  he has instilled this in his children.

So my challange to you is  Play a game with your kids try to do it every day. But if you cant do it every day do it some dont kick yourself if you forget or get busy. But i promise playing a game with your kids will help keep those lines of comunication open. OH and letting them win some helps too. :)
